About Suffering From Joy

Suffering From Joy was built to explore the common bond between fans across many teams, sports, cultures, and intensities that keeps these fans coming back for more, no matter how many times their team hurts them.

While we specialize in soccer, ice hockey, and (American) football; the podcast will at times explore different sports and fandoms. We'd love to hear from you (@sufferingpod on twitter and instagram) about your team or sport and the passion you have for your lovable losers.

To filter by your specific interest or team:

VERDE episodes will cover Austin FC, including instant reaction podcasts.

ARSENAL episodes will cover all things Arsenal Football Club, including interviews from non-UK fans on how they came to be and still suffer through being Arsenal fans.

TEAM episodes will be deep dives covering specific teams, almost all of these will be interview formats. Make your case why your team (or you talking about your team) should get their own episode via twitter and instagram @sufferingpod.

LASSO episodes will cover the world of Ted Lasso, both in the form of episode reviews and examining the broader impact and real life applications of the show.
